Mini ERA Turbo – Story

Who recalls the wonderful Mini ERA Turbo? We certainly do, this very exclusive and now rare Mini was first revealed to the public  at a British Mini Club event way back in 1988. Influx Magazine have shared a great story and video with us. 94bhp and top speed of 115mph. Who could resist such a rare beauty.

In fact we are kicking ourselves now as during a trip to see family in Aberdeen in the early 1990’s driving past a garage in the Bridge Of Don area we spotted a British Racing Green ERA lurking in the showroom. We just had to take a look it was superb. and sadly we didn’t pursue it any further. How we regret that now.

Anyway our good friends, and insurance partners, Adrian Flux have just produced a great article and video via the Influx on-line magazine where they went to visit a very lucky ERA owner to find out more read the full article on

Influx told us “Mini love is big love. There’s something so special about the original cast of Minis. I can’t imagine a single person not looking, smiling or feeling something when they see one bobbing along the road. In whatever town or city, in whatever country, at any point over the past few decades.”

Is the Mini ERA Turbo the greatest Mini ever made? you decide
