A slightly overwhelmed Phil Leonard and his beautiful Mini Cooper S wins Mini Of The Day at the British Mini Clubs Mini Day at Himley Hall. Phil also came first in the Cooper & Cooper S concours class plus the special award of Best Paint. What a successful day for Phil. The top Mini award is chosen from all the concours class winners of the day. Quite a debate between the judges resulting in a unanimous decision.
Premier Concours was a great success again. It was lovely to see many great Mini’s taking part including a Clubman driven all the way from Holland. Vince Wong with his stunning R53 MINI, did you see those new wheels.. wow!
Francesca Deveraux summed the day up perfectly posting this on the Mini Empire “What a fab day on Sunday. Couldn’t believe it Mario got second place in 90s concours. All the hard work paid off again. It was like being back in 2015 and 2016 again when he qualified for the red carpet. Just missed out this time but it’s another trophy to add to the cabinet. Was really nice to see so many of our friends” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
Don’t be shy, enter your Mini into our Premier Concours at Stanford Hall in September. We have a class for everyone and every Mini is judged on it’s own merit. Just a reminder that all class winners qualify for the Premier Concours Final at Mini Fair in January.
Show N Shine is growing at every single show, with so many Mini’s entered from MK1’s, to 90’s Sportpack Mini’s, the latest John Cooper Works and everything in between. It really is a brilliant part of the show to walk around and admire all the Mini’s on display. Wasn’t it wonderful to see the 60’s Mini’s on display in front the of the lake, what a great back drop that is. Our personal favourite was possible the brown Clubman with the Honda VTEC engine. It looked such a quality build.
We had a wander around the Mini only car park and so many of your Mini’s should at the very least be in Show N Shine. Your Mini deserves to be seen and admired. Hopefully we will see you enter at our next event.
Club stands were brilliant as always with the theme being the Queens Platinum Jubilee of course. We even had a gent dressed as a Camilla lookalike. Fantastic to see everyone entering into the spirit of the theme. A perfect place to showcase your club and to meet up with other members. It’s great to see such a mix of modern and classic Mini’s in one place. Congratulations to Skidmark Mini Owners Club on winning the top trophy. Thank you to everyone and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.

A big thank you to everyone for your continued support at all of our events. We really do appreciate the time you spend with us and it makes all the effort we put into the show worthwhile. Thank you.
