Leyland Mini 1275GTS, 1978
Recent service including oil and filter, plugs, and engine mount and couple of wheel bearings.
New battery.
Starts easily, runs and drives well. It has been left standing for six months so would benefit from a good run.
Fitted with the correct GTS twin SU 1¼-inch carbs and free-flow exhaust system.
Period Minilite style alloys with good tyres all round.
I have also had the seats retrimmed with matching door cards.
New front floor pans.
These are very rare, then GTS being the South African market replacement to the discontinued Cooper S. The GTS should not be confused with the UK’s own 1275 GT, which is more commonplace and slower by some margin.
Mileage reads 16,064km which I assume is 116,064km, or 72,000 miles.
Has had some paint in the recent past, looks lovely and yellow is its original colour.
I have spent the weekend going over the car and would like to point out the following:
Small crack in windscreen
Wobbly mirrors
centre caps missing from wheels
Indicators not working
spare tyre needs replacing
Ideally needs new throttle cable
Bonnet fit is not perfect
Wipers need replacement
Any inspection welcome. If you require more photos or videos please let me know.
No pe/x thanks, and please no timewasters. Would be lovely if it could go to a Mini enthusiast.
Happy to take calls between 7-8am or after 7pm/weekends
