British Racing Green Mini
1990 | miles | I have a file containing the receipts for the £1000's that have been spent keeping the car in top condition.
Cracking British Racing Green 1275 Mini, very good condition throughout, kept in a garage Carcoon, only 16000 miles since engine rebuild and restorations were completed. MOT’d up until February 2020.
Started life as a 998 Racing Green mini, in 2013 at 99500 miles it under went some major restoration. Professionally sprayed by Yattendon Garage. Downton Motor Engineering fitted a newly rebuilt 1275 engine from a 1300 Mini Metro, new clutch assembly, reconditioned gearbox and differential. Also fitted were a Maniflow RC 140 Exhaust, Distributer Doctor ignition system, Rear Camber & Toe brackets, and new Knuckle Cups and Trumpets to the suspension. To give it’s finishing touches we fitted a set of 12” Ultralites, an electric cooling fan and a Paddy Hopkirk limited edition rocker cover. I have a file containing the receipts for the £1000’s that have been spent keeping the car in top condition. The result of these works and money spent has meant the car has been truly reliable, sits “right” on the road, flat and square. If you look closely you can pick out a few areas of where the paint is just starting to bubble, but still looks very impressive overall. The interior has largely been left as it came out the factory other than the front seats which have been upgraded to leather Recaro seats. This Mini has been well looked after by myself for 9 years, prior to this it was owned by a welder who took his time to replace and repair the bodywork and subframe to make it the best car it could be for his children to drive. I am only selling as I have had my fix of mini adventures and am moving on to other things such as campervans and convertibles.
