Casing is DAM5626, with matching diff cover. This is the latest and strongest version of the casing.

This gearbox was fully rebuilt by CST as apart of a new 1275 engine for my restoration project. The gearbox and engine were only used for 100 miles while I was testing and sorting out the new installation. The straight cut gears proved much too noisy for my sensitive ears and had to go. Hence I replaced the gearbox with a regular gearbox using standard helical gears. The crown wheel and cross pin diff were transferred over, as were the speedometer gears, since these were just right for my needs.
The straight cut gears have the ‘ultimate’ ratios for a tuned street car. The MiniSpares web site gives full details.
